PRIVACY BY ARCHITECTURE

Privacy Policy

Your manuscript is your work. This policy explains what stays on your device, what is needed to run your account, and which providers help deliver the service.

Effective October 19, 2026

The short version: Wexley is designed to process manuscripts and Local Intelligence requests on your device. We do not use your books to train Wexley AI models. Account, purchase, and entitlement services operate online so we can sign you in and unlock what you purchased.

1. Who controls your information

Wexley Publishing LLC (“Wexley,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is responsible for the personal information described in this Privacy Policy when you use wexley.pro, Wexley Pro, account services, support, and related services.

Privacy questions and requests can be sent to support@wexley.pro.

3. Manuscripts and Local Intelligence

Wexley is designed so that manuscripts, Story Bible information, notes, and Local Intelligence processing remain on your device. Wexley does not routinely receive or store the contents of your books merely because you write, preview, use Local Intelligence, or export.

If you choose to send a support email from inside the app, the message and any diagnostic information or files you deliberately attach will be transmitted to us so we can respond. Wexley does not automatically upload crash reports to us. Please review attachments before sending because support email is not a private manuscript backup service.

4. VaultMark verification history

VaultMark records publication digests, word counts, production-event labels, device-reported dates, and optional exact release-file identities in a local history. Ordinary checkpoints are not signatures. When you explicitly seal a milestone or release, Wexley uses a project-specific device signing key after Face ID, Touch ID, or device-passcode authorization. The private signing key does not enter a VaultMark bundle or the website verifier.

VaultMark checkpointing, sealing, local export preparation, and verification are designed to run on your device without sending your manuscript, bundle, release file, or private key to Wexley. If you choose to export or share a verification bundle, it contains public metadata including stable project, ledger, and public-key identifiers; public P-256 keys; device-reported dates; word counts; labels; source and release filenames; byte lengths; SHA-256 digests; and Wexley-reported validator details. These fields can make separate bundles linkable. The bundle does not contain manuscript prose or publication-image bytes.

Deleting a book or collection removes its local VaultMark records. Deleting an account while keeping local books preserves their histories. “Erase all local author data” also requests authenticated deletion of all VaultMark project signing keys. Files or bundles you previously saved, backed up, or shared outside Wexley remain outside the app’s control and cannot be recalled. VaultMark does not establish human identity, legal authorship, copyright ownership, originality, trusted time, complete history, or latest-copy status.

5. Local storage, Apple backup, and migration

Wexley V1 does not provide Wexley-hosted manuscript cloud sync or a custom iCloud manuscript-sync feature. Signing in can restore account and purchase access, but it does not restore your Books, Collections, Story Bible, histories, or managed media.

Apple-managed device backup or migration may include eligible local app data according to your Apple account, device settings, available storage, and operating-system rules. This is controlled by Apple and your settings, is not Wexley sync, and is not guaranteed to include the latest or complete local data. You are responsible for keeping additional exports or backups appropriate for your work.

6. Providers that help operate Wexley

We disclose limited information to providers when needed to deliver the Services:

  • Stripe processes website payments, billing details, refunds, tax information, and transaction risk. Wexley does not store complete payment-card numbers.
  • RevenueCat manages purchase entitlements, plan status, and restoration so the app can determine what access your account has.
  • Google Firebase Authentication supports email, Google, and Apple account authentication and may process your email address, account identifiers, sign-in provider, and security information.
  • Apple provides Sign in with Apple when you choose it and may process your name, email address or private-relay address, account identifiers, and authentication information. Apple may also process eligible local app data through operating-system-managed device backup or migration according to your Apple account and settings.
  • Website infrastructure providers host and protect wexley.pro and may process ordinary request logs.
  • Google Analytics measures website page visits and traffic patterns unless you turn tracking off. We do not send manuscript text or payment-card details to Google Analytics.
  • Meta and Pinterest, when configured, may process website page views to measure advertising unless you turn tracking off. Meta may also receive checkout starts. Manuscript text and payment-card details are never included in these advertising events.

Providers may process information under their own privacy terms as independent businesses or under contractual instructions from Wexley, depending on the service.

7. How we use information

We use personal information to provide and secure the Services; authenticate accounts; process and restore purchases; communicate about transactions, security, support, and important product changes; prevent fraud and abuse; measure website and campaign performance; comply with law; enforce our agreements; and establish or defend legal claims.

Where applicable law requires a legal basis, we rely on performing our contract with you, our legitimate interests in operating and protecting Wexley, compliance with legal obligations, and consent where required.

8. Cookies and similar technologies

Our website may use essential storage and cookies needed for security, checkout, preferences, or account functions. Google Analytics, the Meta Pixel when configured, and the Pinterest tag start measuring website activity when you visit unless you have turned tracking off or your browser sends a recognized opt-out signal. The cookie notice offers Accept and Decline controls. Closing the notice with its X hides it for that browser session and leaves tracking on; it does not record acceptance. A checkout start may also be sent from our server to Meta after your verified account opens a checkout link while tracking is on.

You can turn tracking off or back on at any time using Cookie settings in the footer. We remember an accepted or declined choice for six months in this browser. Turning tracking off stops future measurement and removes tracking cookies this site can access, but it does not erase information already collected by providers. Essential account and checkout functions remain available.

You can also control cookies through your browser and limit certain advertising uses through the relevant provider’s settings. Disabling essential technologies may prevent parts of checkout or sign-in from working.

9. When we disclose information

We may disclose information to the providers described above, professional advisers, authorities when legally required, and parties involved in a merger, financing, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of assets. We may also disclose information to protect customers, Wexley, or others from fraud, abuse, security threats, or unlawful conduct.

Wexley does not sell manuscript content. We do not provide manuscript content to advertisers. Certain advertising disclosures of identifiers and website activity may be treated as “sharing,” “targeted advertising,” or a “sale” under some U.S. state privacy laws even when money is not exchanged; you can turn tracking off in Cookie settings or contact us about other requests.

10. Retention

We retain account and entitlement information while your account is active and as reasonably necessary to restore purchases, provide support, maintain security, comply with tax and accounting obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. Support correspondence is retained as reasonably necessary to address the issue and maintain service records.

Local manuscript data remains under your control on your device. Copies included in Apple-managed device backups or migration, or files you save or share outside Wexley, are governed by your settings and the destination provider’s retention practices.

11. Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or obtain a copy of personal information; object to or restrict certain processing; withdraw consent; or opt out of targeted advertising, sharing, or sale as those terms are defined by applicable law. You may also appeal certain denied privacy requests.

Send requests to support@wexley.pro. We may need to verify your identity and account before responding. Authorized agents may submit requests where permitted, subject to verification of their authority. We will not discriminate against you for exercising applicable privacy rights.

12. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards appropriate to the information we handle. Website payments are processed through Stripe over encrypted connections. No security method or storage system is guaranteed to be completely secure, so you should protect your device, email account, Apple account, and Wexley credentials.

13. Children and international use

Wexley Pro is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Paid accounts are intended for people who can legally enter a contract.

Wexley is operated from the United States. If you use the Services elsewhere, information handled by our online providers may be transferred to and processed in the United States or other countries where those providers operate, subject to applicable safeguards.

14. Updates to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as Wexley’s features, providers, or legal obligations change. We will post the new effective date and provide additional notice when required. Material changes will apply prospectively unless law permits otherwise.
